hope its nothing major, bent pushrod or something, 13.6 is a decent time for a brick
did you look at the bottom of the valve cover to see if it looked like anything was hitting it?

454... Valve cover is fine. Rained yesterday. No garage here (stupid carport). Hope to have some time to start pulling head (driver side) this evening. Of course, will post pics of findings. Got a audio/video clip uploaded. Will post this morning.

Man, that's really depressing that you've had so many problems. Do you keep fixing old parts or replacing with new stuff? It almost seems like there is a bigger problem behind all your issues.

quit reving it and pull the pan. you may get by with rod bearings and some new rod bolts. we all you know what the underside of that truck looks like. the jackstands should still have there marks on the ground. it could be worse you could see inside the motor from the driver side wheel. hell, call matt. i hear he has gotten quick at swapping engines out. you may wanna check for missing bolts after he is done though.
