free-diving spear fisherman here. Every time I go home to the islands I grab a snorkel, speargun and hit the reefs for grouper!

I love to fish, just don't have time right now

When I turned 16 my folks and I went out on the Gulf and caught some sharks. 4-5 1/2 ft blacktips, my dad and I landed prolly 30 in 45 minutes, some of the most fun I've ever had

sorry for the delayed replies, I was forced to goto SEMA lol. I finally got to use my dad's laptop in his office here @ Golden Nugget. I can't wait to get back home and get started on some of our new lures. I'm glad to see that there's some fishermen on here (and fisherwomen, if there are any on here...).
I'd love to go speerfishing sometime. I am tempted to buy a bowfishing rig though, since we have flounder out the back of our bay house in galveston. largest shark we have caught down at the pass/near the pass was a 6' black tip. very large shark, somehow the ole POS penn got her in. our good penn had gone bad the week before and we put the old one on the 9' rod. seeing that 9 footer bend all the way over was kinda scary, luckily my fatass weighs a little more than the shark, so it didn't pull me in
