Default everyone with 2001 6.0 or knowledge

Will an 01 LQ4 bolt up to my 4l60e? I have gotten mixed ideas whether it was 2001 or 2002 where the LQ4's mated with the 60e's. Please tell.

EDIT*** And if it does NOT fit, is there anything I can do within reason to get it to?

You should be fine. Check to see if it has aluminum heads. 99 and 00 were the ones that had iron heads and the different length crank that would cause problems.

if it has aluminum heads your good. take the flex plate off, it will be for a 4L80e, then remove the spacer on the crank. After that put your original flex plate on and install.

yea it's a short block so I won't know about the heads but I think I trust this guy and IF it doesnt fit....he is local so I can make a quick drive to tell him what's up. So my 5.3 flexplate will also work once I remove the spacer...this is good news.

when you take the flywheel off the spacer most of the time comes with it then that will tell you what year it is if no spacer then the crank will needed to be change are you will have to space it out the thinckness of the spacer if will work but i will not do it again i did it on a friends truck and he is still driving it so yes it works
