Decisions, decisions.....

So I'm trying to decide whether or not to go ahead and take my truck off the market. I had just recently started my new job driving a little further, but so far its not bad. I have wanted a RCSB for a damn long time, but I have so much already invested in my current truck. I have only gotten one offer on it and it was 1K less than what I owe still on it. I just hate to give the truck away ya know.
I just came into a moderate chunk of money, some of which is going to buying my fiance's horse trailer and getting our wedding planned, but the rest if free to spend.
I have been thinking more and more about keeping the GMC, camming/stall it, and doing a few other mild mods to it. Appearance wise the truck is where I want it, but I kinda want to give it more of the muscle car look with some almost vintage style wheels and staggering the tire size. Put some 285-60-17's in the back with some 255-60-17's up front. Leave the rear the height that it is with the shackles, but add some 1" or 2" coils up front to give it a bit of the raked look. And then get some subs for the back and have a decent stereo system. I'm not planning on going with a huge cam and stall. I doubt that I would have the $$$$ at this time to get a built trans. How long do you guys think that the stock trans would last with my mods and say a comp 214/220 .559/.564 112 and say a 2600-2800 converter. I will have to do some of the regular maintenance that I have been holding off on like the tensioner and a few other things
Truck most likely never see the track, and if it does, it will just be once or so. I just really want to have something with the old school muscle sound and a nice truck to drive.
I don't know, I just know that the truck is nice and I refuse to give it away for nothing.
I think I'm getting about as bad as Cody with changing my mind...................
Nah, not even close.

As far as being as bad as Cody........you'd have to buy 20 different engines, 2 different turbo setups, 4 superchargers, and about 20 nitrous kits......not including every different transmission that gm makes.

I know too, that if I get a RCSB, I'd just do everything that I have done to this one all over again, just like I did with the Crew Cab and this one. A street truck is really all I want. It may see an occasional track pass, just to see what it will run, but other than that, I drive to damn many miles a day to go crazy with it.

Why dont you keep the truck and maybe down the road, get a rcsb for dirt cheap and build it up. That would be fun. Ive seen used rcsb trucks go for like 6k on here. They are simply a canvas...

good thing you came back to your senses.....
your truck looks real sweet just like it is... do the cam and converter to it... that cam with a yank 2600 would be sweet and according to people it drives just like stock...

Yeah, I think I'm gonna keep it. I just know that I refuse to give this truck away and then want to do all the same **** right back again to a new one.
That being said, anyone local got a good straight rear bumper for one of these things. I can trade or whatnot. The one that I have on here has a few scratches on the passenger side that are an ugly spot with me. Its the only war wound from when my fiance was driving the truck, She backed into something and tapped it lightly.
Unfortunately, the chunk of $$$ that I was expecting came in today and was considerably less than what I was anticipating, so anything that I do will have to be on a budget. The Denali wheels will have to stay on for a while longer, until my year end bonus at least. But hopefully I'll be able to get a few things nailed down here soon.
