OK, I think we need to compile a list of Tracks in the South so people new to racing can easily find a track near by. Put the name of the track and where it is located, and the length of the track (1/4 or 1/8 mile) also any notes you wanna add.

Emerald Coast Dragway - Holt, FL - 1/8th
ECDW is kinda a dog and pony show track, long lines, track hooks ok, but don't expect much more than about 3 or 4 runs a night unless you're on slicks

South GA Motorsports Park - Valdosta, GA - 1/4
Great Track, decent lines, semi loose on Tech, very strict on helmets.

Gainesville Raceway - Gainesville, FL - 1/4
Good track, fairly strict on tech

 

Silver Dollar Dragway- Reynolds, GA -1/4
One of the better hooking tracks (south ga)

Commerce Dragway "Atlanta Dragway" - Commerce, GA - 1/4
usually not prepped well... best time to go is during the fbody shootout or year one events.

 

Huntsville dragway, Huntsville, AL 1/8 mile
Bailyton dragway, Bailyton, AL 1/8 mile
Alabama Internation Dragway, Steele, AL 1/4 mile
Lassiter mountain dragway, Gardendale, AL 1/8 mile
Bama dragway, Jasper/Sumiton, AL 1/8 mile
Montgomery Motorsports park, AL 1/4 mile


Just to name a few in my area. There is more here in the 1/8 mile bracket racing capital of the world but I don't have the time to list them all

By the way, bracket racing isn't racing.

I grew up at that track. haha. my favorite one by far. My uncle and his shop used to be up there a lot, but not too sure anymore. They're based out of Augusta, GA.
