The truck you are tlaking about wouldnt ahppen to be a white one would it? I raced a old c-10 that was white, back when I had the old 5.3 still in the truck with full bolt ons cam and the 100 shot and he left me like I was sitting still. Always wondered what he had in there.

well I went and saw the c-10 today, it was a 1972 cheyenne "super"... . real nice truck, color was orange and white..... I would of surely bought it but it was a damn longbed!! I was looking so forward into it being a shortbed.... I just cant get myself into getting a longbed for some reason... I'll just have to wait and see if a short bed comes around....

You could always shorten the frame and get a short bed to drop on it if the price is right and its in good condition.

longbeds look **** lowered man... I had a shortbed fleetside '72 for my very first truck with the turd 307 in it. hey for a 15-16 yr old kid, it was nice... 3 on the tree baby... those if you can get one with a solid 350 and dedent tranny in it for 3k I say go for it. I honestly like the body style of those trucks better than any year made after them.... they are just badass. the C10 2wd is a great start on a hot rod and especially on a '72. they have the 5 lug wheels and disk brakes in front so you can put the whoah on that tank once the 350 gets it rolling. I had some 15x10 rally up front and 15x12 (widened stockers) out back. she sat nice dropped about 5/7 on those.
