does anyone have an sts turbo in thier SSS or any late model silvy??? if so r u happy, how much power, how much was spent... etc???

 

There is about a dozen or so guys on here with STS's in late model trucks, my self included. Do a search and you will find plenty to read about. Haven't found a person yet that wasn't happy with the the performance out of it

I have one and loved it for the two days the motor lived LOL.....

if you do it, dont get greedy with booooooost!

 

I do and I love it!! It's a horrible addiction though.. Started with stock motor and 5 lbs. of boost.. Now I have a 408 stroker, H/C, TRT intercooler, and 10 lbs. of boost.......Just to name a few...LOL.. Best so far is a 7.35 e.t. in the 1/8th at 91 mph.. 1.69 60'.... I've fallen in love with the turbo whistle... No need for a radio anymore...

Kinda hard to itemize it all out b/c I did so much at one time... The turbo kit alone, installed will prob. run you about $5K.... In all, over the past couple years i have spent about 3X that.....

 

THNX.... was ur sts system intercooled when u first got it or do u have one at all??

 

I ran it non-intercooled at first with the stock motor.. I did the custom TRT FMIC when I did the engine swap... IAT's still weren't a big danger b4 the intercooler, just knew I'd be running more boost eventually.....
