i think im just gonna save up for next year. Ive got an engine i need to tear down, order some parts, etc to make a 383. Not only that but gotta save up for a 9" for the 4-link that'll be goin in... just cant get er to grip as is.

Have you tried Cal Trac bars? I have heard they do wonders for traction, no matter what you run. My brother who is a speed shop mechanic swears by them! Might be worth tryin before you go with the 4 link....

yeah ive done my researchin on em. i think that with the setup im eventually going to have, they just simply wont be enough. I havent been to the track in years simply because the last time i ran, i spun the WHOLE way down the track even pedaling to run a 14.2 @ 108... Opened my eyes to the fact that im prolly gonna need to overhaul the suspension, especially if im gonna be pushin a supercharged 383.

Theres a guy with photo of his dodge truck running 9's on the caltrac website. with the stock rear end and leaf springs. When you spun down the track, what kinds of tires were you running?

Why go 383 & not just get the 6.0 & go 408?
