i have a lq9 with 243 head and i want more power. i need a good cam intake heads [possibly] stall combo and was wondering what people were running in their trucks.

 

2 guys I know around here have lq9 combos. One consist of stock 317 heads 236/239 609 lift 112 lsa cam tbss intake longtubes cai. Ran a 12.6 with 4.10s 4400 stall.
The other one had prc stage 2.5 heads milled .030" tsp 220 cam longtubes cai stock intake manifold ran a 12.9 with 4.10 gears 3000 stall

 

those heads in the right hands will grant you more horsepower with a matching cam and intake, my sig times are with a fully bolted ls3 setup, heavly modded with a 232/238 cam with a 4k PI converter. that was in 52* weather DA around 200-400

 

I have a set of l92 heads on mine and they r great but if u do l92 heads u will have to get a l92 intake and a 90mm tb pluse a X-Link to make the tb work. But the l92 heads r the best bang for ur $. I and the intake ports r so big they had to move the rockers over so u will have to get all that if u get a bare head ... But they do kick a$$
