Dont laugh but what kind of Gas Mileage are you getting in a 5spd rst vs auto rst?

Well, for what it's worth, I own an 04 Silverado RST-- 5 speed (2nd owner) and I have no regrets. This is not a garage queen-- I use it as my daily commuter and I avg 20 mpg (most of my driving is highway). Speed does not matter. I am not racing it nor do I play the stop and go between lights and I was lucky enough to find it at a Cadillac dealership who had no idea what they were selling cause' the VIN only shows a silverado (it does not specify RST upgrade). I can also tell you that I managed to get 61k miles out of my first set of tires (Falken Ziex ST-4) with hardly any wear in my brakes. Other than a major tune-up, tires and oil changes, still going strong and turning heads where ever I go!

The original question was about the gas mileage for a RST with 5spd. I have an 06 with 3000 miles. I get 15.5 in town and 21 on the road. I changed over to Michelin Tour tires and have a Truxedo bed cover. There seem to be a couple going through eBay. That is where I found mine with 900 miles. There was another floating around Indiana with 13000 miles. Nothing wrong with it except it needed tires. The original Goodyear tires were out of round. If you find one, you will enjoy it. It is a fun drive. BB (Oct. 2010)

Sorry to bring this back from the dead but I just thought I'd share with u what I was offered on trade in on my regency. 04 gmc 4.8 5 speed with 76k on it in really good condition inside and out I was offered 8,000. The regency part of it means nothing now. It's just a work truck with a 4.8 5speed to a dealership.
