Dont laugh but what kind of Gas Mileage are you getting in a 5spd rst vs auto rst?

I am in the hunt for a 04 to 06 regency rst and found some 5spd's and automatics.
I really want the 5spd but what is honest mpg fuel efficency for these 2wd 4.8 5 speeds.
Probaly much better the the 4wd z71's right>?
I know beating on it doesnt help but what is your average around town miles per gallon? and highway? (they should be pretty good right)? Anything mods that would help mpg if i get one?

I get 18 - 20 highway. Don't know about city driving because I don't do much of it.
I love my truck too. I would make the same purchase again.
I bought an 04 Silverado for 8k V6 5 speed WT for 8500 with 60k miles on it in '09, wrecked it, then got my RST in '10. Gave 9400 for it. It had 75k miles on it.
I figure between the leather, power options and all the stuff I wanted to bolt on it was a good platform for the price.

It is July 2010 and I just purchased an 06 Regency, White/Orange v8, 5spd with 990 miles on it. I love the truck since it is not supercharged and I mainly wanted a manual trans. I get 15 mpg in town and slightly over 20 on the highway. There were only 200 of them built so I have never seen another one on the road or any car/truck show. They are not a work truck. They are the last full size, 1/2 ton chevy pick up with a v8 and manual trans. They are unique, and fun to drive without breaking the bank. I love my RST.
