A roots style blower will give you the best around town performance and great off the line torque for towing. Its true a centrifugel blower such as a Procharger or Vortech with make more peak power but from a towing aspect you want down low torque, your not gonna be spinning the motor to 5000+ rpms all that often.

I personally wouldnt put another other supercharger than a procharger on a car but when it comes to a truck unless the best 1/4 time is your goal a roots style blower such as a Magnacharger would suit your needs the best.

i'd recomend the radix. it's the one blower that will get you quick off the line power and not require alot of stall to do it. the factory converter alone with tuning will get you 1.9 60's and a mild stall will get you into 1.7's with a pulley change and some tuning. a centrifugal will require around a 3000 stall or more to get near the off the line performance of the radix. if big future mods are planned you may want to look into something that is upgradable (my word) such as a procharger or vortech.
