Coil Pack relocation on a GMT800
#1
So as I approach getting somewhere with my 04 I want to know what guys did if they moved their ignition coils? I am running the Proform tall powdercoated covers and I prefer no wires over the valve cover. I have seen some pretty clean engine bays but where are guys hiding the coils? The truck has long tubes and TVS on top plus is all intact and otherwise stock under the hood. Any ideas are appreciated!
Search showed me guys setups... but you can't see the coils nor is it spoken where they mounted them.

Hmm. I like that idea a lot more than putting them up in a persons face on the firewall. I saw the style that puts them on the back of the cylinder head but I want the heat shields and insulation on the cab so that's a big no... plus I don't think they would fit there anyway as you need about 3". I have a set of the ICT mount brackets that sandwich all the coils together and a person could just rig up a plate of the stud there and use them.

Nice! Didn't know you finished that reckless.
Mine is a Twin turbo setup from previous owner, so it worked out underneath the manifolds and still uses stock length wires that I can pick up anywhere.

I have the ict brackets and will fab up something off the back of the engine by the firewall. There is a pretty heavy show consideration being put into my truck... but it will never go to a car show haha.

Been driving it for a while with a street tune. Still waiting for dyno time but Mike at Vengeance is always slammed with tuning.
