Actually, your truck is real clean underneath, minus a few little seeps here and there. All the rust you have looks like very minor surface corrosion that wouldn’t concern me in the least from what I can see.

Yes, your jounce bumpers are pretty much shot from the weather. You can pick up some new ones and in the meantime until you decide whether or not you are going to raise the truck back up, you can un-bolt the extension brackets and bolt the bumpers straight to the frame rails. The bolt holes are already there underneath the brackets to do this, so you won’t have to modify anything. That will give you quite a bit more space between the bumpers and the rear axle, which will keep your truck from bottoming out so early.

I searched the internet about "How to replace the jounce bumpers". I found a few instructional guides on YouTube: I might consider attempting this job myself. I have a list of work I need to get done on my truck, so I need to separate into group and prioritize the work. For instance I will need a battery and tires within the year or later if my prayers are blessed with safe as they have been for years. I would like to get my wheels cleaned and re-chromed or find a good deal on tires and wheels. I have a very driver-side power seat that should be recalled and repaired by a GMC dealership; my headliner has recently separated from the cab's top cover. Thank You

Default Power Seat Problem

I attempted to fix my driver's power seat in May 2017, but I could not resolve the problem. I noticed the unreliable seat movement in late February when I left Florida to visit Houston, Texas.

I was hoping it was just a quirky glitch that would be gone when I arrived in Texas - NOT. In my humble opinion I am experiencing a "defect" that is a recall item GMC Sierras and other GMC models, but my trim is not on the recall list. Why? I did not get a recall notice because my truck is a low production run [future note to self stick with the vehicles that have large production runs] and there aren't enough numbers of complaints on the NHTSA website. I tried to fix this seat problem, but "no cigar"!

Don't lose your screws!

These connectors were hard to disconnect!
