My 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 VHO 6.0L Performance Edition's driver's seat's 8-way power switch in a state of unreliability



I swapped the OEM with this 3rd Party switch



This switch did not fix the problem; in fact, it functioned in the same manner as the OEM switch

My 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 VHO 6.0L Performance Edition's GMT-800 power seat control module circuit board (Lear P/N 602-0528-200-F-GMT800, EPC MLV0 C94V0 5204-3) under the driver's seat.




After I noticed that these connector pins for the lumbar connection showed less corrosion, I realized the connector pins for the horizontal movement of the switch and circuit board needed cleaning







I initially used the scissors to scrape off the corrosives, then I realized the file would be a better tool

















This plastic knife was very useful in my removal of the connectors
