After the rain weve had this weekend fron the tropical storm that blew through here, everytime i turned the headlights on or tried to signal a left turn the turn indicator would come on steady and just stay on.... Actually been happening internittently for a while, but finally decided to do something about it, and ended up needing a turn signal socket and these aftermarket replacement lenses are JUNK!!!

Contacts in connector corroded... Badly

New socket in and installed

Left signal lens had about half a cup of water in it...

Right lens is dry

Debating on getting a set of euro type led lenses or going back with factory lenses... At some point i want a set of hid headlights and fogs with a set of halo projector lenses...
Back to the steering issue.....

Picked up a set of apc lenses for the truck today, and finally got the 4l80, 6l80, and 4l60 along with the two totes full of 6.0 parts out if the bed!!! Which in turn means i had a chace to actually get into the throttle for the first time in i cant remember how long, at one point i had 4 tires and rims in the bed along with the 6l80 for the yukon for almost a year, then i had the transmissions.... Anyway, 1-2 under full throttle unloaded she will try to break traction....

The converter was again as i remember supposed to be 26-2800 and behind the stock 5.3 was actually more like 2200 but for some reason when i put the 6.0 in front of the same converter it got alot tighter and ended up more in the 16-1800 range.... Thinking the converter was on its way out... I remember googling the stamp on the converter and it was some off the wall brand reman tb converter, but the dacco i bought to replace it with was a lot better.... Still have that under my toolbox!!

Figured out this week what my next project will be on the truck.... Fixing the front end and giving my tires a bit more room by modifying the fender a little bit and replacing the inner fender liners... Alomg with finally getting my damn headers and engine mounts installed!!!

So am much as i dislike the mechanical side of the 2014 and up trucks i found one that may make me get one.... Realtree edition!!! However until i get some other stuff taken care of that isnt going to happen.... So in the meantime i had the guy that does all the graphics at work make a set similar to the door graphics but in a slightly different realtree pattern...

My first instinct is to say something about when it rains it pours, however...... master cylinder went out tonight, at least randomly anyway, had to take my daughter to a thing at her school, and half way to get her the pedal went to the floor out of nowhere, and them felt spongy or would go to the cloor the rest of the way to oick her up and take her to the school, went to leave an hour later or so and thepedal was fine....
