Got all the parts together except rod and mains....Still waiting on machine shop, apparently he had to order new bits, and his new machinist (who previously worked for yates)didnt like the way the boring machine was doing something so he is waiting on new machines bits and something else.... Good thing hes not charging me for the one block and only charging me for the cylinder boring on the other and he polishing or turning my cranks for free!!!

It's probably a good thing though. You want it right.

My machinist had to rebuild the machine he uses for decking... come to find out the issue was actually with the block.

What really sucked is that I went through 2 more blocks until I found one that would work for what I was trying to do...

Well got word that my l92 is done, there was apparebtly a miscomunication about the pistons and they havent been ordered.. And still waiting to hear back about my cranks and the l96.... Now if my 6l80 shows up this may all go together a lot quicker than i was thinking.... Like to have it wrapped up by end of summer(amidst everything else ive got going on)!!!

6l80 came in, out of a vette, dude said it was blown, was expecting to not be able to turn the output shaft, or if i could it feel for, lack of a better word, chunky; but it turns.... Quite smoothly i might add!!!Didnt have a chance to open her up tonight, but hope to sometime later this week or early next.... Figure iut what i need for it along witha list of what i need to convert it to a 4wd, and mate it to my t case.... Want to finish my other little headache of the moment first.... One transmission problem at a time....

And still havent seen my block yet.... But did talk to the lady at the desk this am and apprently the pistons she was going to order are on backorder.... So she had to find me another set and they are coming out of california....

Havent been able to tear 6l80 down, however i do have a bellhousing, pump and 3-5-r drum, out of a 13 caprice, so the pump has the newer style stator and i am fairly certain the 3-5-r drum came out of the same car and was replaced as a unit because the parts guys figured out it was cheaper under warranty to replace the assembly than the individual parts within.... Now to find output shaft and tailshaft adaptor and to figure out what i need to do about transfer case input..... The yukon has a bw t case, im sure they used in later trucks/suv with 6l80 just need to verify!! I know the output shaft will be a 32 spline....

After some research, and i dont know why I kept thinking the tcase is bw, but this its not a bw t case its MP3023.... And i need an input for it out of a hybrid or a 6l80 equipped truck/suv....just need to make sure my transfer case hadnt been replaced with a 2nd design tcase before i order the input for it!! Also remembered i have two 6l80 harnesses one out of the denali the l92 came out of and the other out of a 2011 pickup.... Need to take time to lay them out and see which one has the t case plug i need.... Both vehicle had vvt but the truck harness was a 5.3 that had vvt and afm!! Now to get the hard parts and a rebuild kit and find the time to test the tcm in this trans and get all of my engine parts back together.... i need like a month off, with pay!!!
