That's a decent size turbine wheel to be falling off that early... Hmmm.

I agree that it's not the heads or the cam causing such a low power number. I think heads cam and intake could all be improved but that's not the problem. Get a good log on the street. If power falls off like that in the mid 5000's you will see it on the logs. Maybe a boost drop, or if you still have a MAF then it'll show as a lack of airflow. It will also show in your IDC going flat or even pulling back.

That's not a magnum in your build thread.
We haven't sold magnum in years,
we did start back Offering them about 2 weeks ago.
Stage 2 is not a 76mm turbo.

3" dp can get over 700 ground hp.
What's the rest of your exhaust like?

Sorry I just referenced what was under the drop-down menus on the site... the turbo is the "base" 76mm comes in the Stage 3 kit.

The rest of the exhaust goes 4" immediately after the downpipe all the way to the bumper, mandrel bent.

I don't have a MAF on the truck. If you guys are thinking that the heads and cam aren't holding me back, then it might be the boost controller or my wastegate spring? I know that before we changed the mechanical spring value in the controller, the truck fell completely on its face at 4800. Truth be told I'm still confused by what settings to enter on this Innovate SCG-1. This is my old graph from dyno session #1 (13 degrees timing). Granted, I did have a miss that we discovered while on the dyno and on the way home I did noticeably feel it under low rpm load, tuner said it was breaking up but in hindsight a big part of my problem was likely that my boost controller was probably kicking in. I did fix my miss before dyno session #2...

I don't see any evidence of spark blowout in the graph.

My advice regarding the wastegate would be to disconnect the boost controller and get a steady base boost level on spring only. If your WG is undersized it could wreak havoc on boost control

So with a 9lb spring in the gate (46mm Precision) it should hold pretty steady at 9psi, and if boost creep past 9psi occurs, then the gate is too small?

Boost should hold relatively flat. It's not uncommon to see 1-2 more psi in high gear. But it shoukdnt be spiking.

On e85 with a 5.3....add more timing

Cheaper turbos dont flow so you got make power with timing

Toss a 7 series plug in it

Find a 243 and run them unmilled

You can make more power with that tuebo....cam is fine

No and maybe. A 46mm gate is plenty for most applications.
Unless you want 3 lbs on a big inch engine.

The springs in gates are starting points, not absolutes.
So a 9lbs spring might give you 9. Might give 13. Might give you ???
If it gives you 13 in your build its a 13lbs spring.

Boost creep it will just keep climbing. Rate of climb depends.
Boost spike it will jump up and calm back down.
Both of these can be bad depending on how extreme it is.

Spring rates are generic so all depends on back pressure flow rate placement

So if over shoots or under shoots is fine as kong as it doesnt steady rise
