Vinyl Wrap? Anyone done it?

Kept it on there about 8 months, through a winter too, so it encountered all weather conditions.
I used the kit from dipyourcar. com with the electric spray gun. Took 3 gallons of dip, woulda been easier to peel if I had used 4 gallons. Spraying was pretty easy., peeling was a bitch although it did come off in large sheets.
One thing I learned was the spray in the same direction the whole time, don't switch from horizontal to vertical strokes. Also learned that you want to take the tape off immediately after painting. If you try to remove it after drying it will peel the dip away with it. The stuff is surprisingly strong too, I regularly used a pressure washer on it.
Here's it taped off

and here are my roommates doing the bitch work while I take pics.

dang it. I'm literally working on my silverado right now getting it ready for paint. - going from blue to black. that matte black looks amazing on there. Maybe I'll do the blazer before I sell it.

Now that looks good.
I'm more into plasti dipping (bumpers, handles, grilles, etc.) but seeing how it could wear off easily when not done properly, i researched a bit abt vinyl wrap. I always thought it was difficult to maintain? I read this for some info. Turns it it actually protects factory paint and it's easy to remove. Looking to find time to do this in the future.
