All depends what you've done to the truck. Suggestion is get a few mods done, then get a tune, get a few more done and get another tune. E-mail Charlie...

You can get some long tube headers for the 350's for fairly cheap. That and ORY into your new muffler would make it sound awsome. Bolt ons like pullies, CAI, custom port your own throttle body. Jus tmy .02.
BTW im 17 too, and wishing I had a body style truck like yours with a 350. THe money I spent on my truck, I could have put a nice size cam in there, some comp heads, and a converter. Also would have gotten some Z06 rims to put on it too with a hot rod drop
Still thinking of selling my truck, and getting me a RCSB low miles 97 silvy.

Can you learn how to type proper please?
But anyways, basic mods like intake and exhaust are usually done first, then usually headers. The more stuff you have done, the better the results of the tune will be. Tuning a stock truck doesn't make that much of a difference besides better shift points, and no top speed limiter. You can get away with doing intake and exhaust and some other things before a tune, but if you decide to go with longtube headers or anything more serious then that, a tune will really make a difference and in some cases is almost necessary. I hope you have a good job, modding trucks is expensive

ORY= off road y pipe
I would do all the bolt ons you could afford before a tune but even if you cant do alot of boltons now a tune will still feel like your driving a different truck.
As far as which tuner there a few sponsors for mail order tunes you may even want to see if theres a local shop that tunes. IMO a real time tune beats a mail order tune.
I have had e-fans for a little bit now and have not had one issue but i have heard that some have issues.
