Have a huge scratch down the side of my truck so I need to get it repainted and they have to repaint the hood to blend everything in, plus the hood is scratched.

So, I was thinking about adding a cowl hood. I dont like the ram air style, just the traditional cowl style.

Anyone have a cowl hood or pictures of a nbs with a cowl?

Truck will probably be getting a 1.5" body lift soon also, if that helps anyone decide.

Why not an HD hood... maybe easier to find.

Yeah I love that hood and his truck. That's the kind that I want.

 

i'm not a fan of cowl hoods on lifted trucks. +1 for the HD hood though, i bet that'd look pretty good on there.

 

Look at a stock '06.

 

Hd hood is more of an OBS thing. If you go to the 06 hood, you have to change the grille as well.

I think the cowl hoods even look better on the lifted trucks. Makes the truck look bigger and more aggresive. But get a steel goodmark, I just ordered one. The fiberglass hoods will warp.

 

I like the cowl hoods available for both the 99-02's and the 03-07's, as mentioned, so sexy Lifted or lowered they both look great tdrumm used to have a Goodmark cowl on his 03 and that hood fit that body style perfectly IMO. I want to get a Goodmark for mine some day, as Tim Z said, these trucks should have come with them stock
