A small cowl should do the trick and look tasteful. I myself can't stand a cowl induction hood(or any raised hood) for only looks and isn't a functional sealed air intake. You might just remove the weatherstriping on the back of the hood against the fire wall. That would do the same thing as a cowl hood and bee much cheaper
Also, get you a blanket for the turbo. It will help on power and keep underhood temps down.

I know that originally the cowl hoods were designed for induction under speeds and driving and while at stop or idle they were supposed to help extract air. I know personally speaking from having 2 Reflexxion cowl hoods on 2 seperate trucks, that when I pull my truck into the no touch car wash and leave the engine running that the air will extract from under the hood and steam up the bottom of my windshield. Now whether it works under load is another question.

I have also noticed a definite drop on under hood temps since installing my cowl

It was a 1500HD he had and it did have the heat extractors and an SSZ28 Style scoop. Can't remember his name either, but it was a nice looking hood.

I know its crAPC and not steel, but i kinda like the styling. If it was painted I think it would look good.
