Default SS Grill Insert Question

I bought the Street Scene grill inserts for my truck and I was wondering what the best way to put them in is. There is only one other guy running around here that has them and he left the stock grill behind it and it looks like crap so I want to avoid that at all costs. Would my best choice be to paint the factory grill flat black or to just cut the thing out? Once I cut it out how would I get it to stay in place? Thanks in advance.

if you cut out the factory insert the clips from the SS grill will hold it in place. If you paint it flat balck it is pretty hard to see, but cutting it out will look alot better.

I cut my factory fins out with a dremel...I live in an apartment and did it in my kitchen since that's where I had the best lighting at the time lol. It's a piece of cake, and like mentioned above, the clips from the SS grille don't attach to the fins, so you'll be fine
