I didnt run a primary... Mine was plug-n-play too! From what I can tell, no more than 15 amps is being pulled over the headlight power wires because the fues isnt blowing. I have heard of people having to pop in a higher amp fuse to allow the ballasts to pull more power for ignition. To date I have had no problems.

BTW, if you are getting the X1010's, they come equiped with 5100K bulbs, so if you wanted them to match up with the headlights, then get the 5200K bulbs for the headlights.

i forgot i did have to up my fuse to like 20 amps i think
