Default Regular Cab Sub/Stereo Setups?

Anyone have any pics of RC sub setups?

Could I fit a pair of 12's behind the seat w/o loosing any legroom? One of the main reasons I got rid of the Sonoma was so I'd have some room for a system, and here it is 4 years later and I have a head unit, amp and some separates! But what I have is fairly decent--a Premier P1R deck, MB Quart "Q" series components, and an Alpine V-12 amp. I'm not looking to go all out...I just want good QUALITY sound.

I've been outta the car audio scene since '01 too, so I'm sure there is new and better equipment out there. Any newcomers that are worth a damn, or is everyone still sticking w/ the tried-and-true "big name" labels (RF, JL, Alpine, etc)?

I have plenty of pics in my Sig of my box... I'm sure you've probably seen them b4 from 'that thing' you were doing this month.

I fiberglasses the box over the transmission hump. I lost about 1.5 clicks of the seat with the box, but the subs have sufficient air space.

pioneer makes a new 12" shallow sub, i have them, they're only 4" deep so you can build the box however you want. i have the seat all the way back.

Are those the ones that they used in Truckin's article? I have to admit, that article is what got me interested in doing the stereo stuff again.

Also, how do they sound? Are they pretty solid subs? I like crisp and clean subs...not muddy "boomy" sounding subs.

if you dont care about loosing your center seat, which i didnt cause i didnt let anyone sit there anyways do what i did and fit a 12 W7 in there. Its perfect fit and perfect for an armrest also. I like it alot. Just ignore the shifter.

I just got another piece of the Denali console that I'm going to be putting in the truck, so I don't think that would work. But it looks badass though!!!

If I weren't so worried about making the truck quick, I'd go all out an do a blow through w/ some W7's. Just curious--do you have any experience w/ the JL amps? I've heard they're pretty good.

I have worked a little bit with the JL amps and they are great IMO. I prefer PPI amps though, thats what I run in both of my trucks.

I have a JL 500/1 and two JL 12w3v2's and it has been a great combo for me.
