Paint decisions

Need some help deciding because I suck at it. Figured I would consult the wise ones of the page (which I may regret later haha). I am doing some horse trading with a friend while I finish my build and wait for parts to arrive during the post corona/pre civil war 2.0. My original plan was to plastidip flat black my truck until I had time for an actual paint job, just so I wouldn't hold up the build any longer than it's already been tied up. But since I'm going to be a month or two out before I can get her wrapped up, and he's making me a smokin deal with a reputable turn around time (highly uncommon id you've ever had to get paint work done) and since everything is already torn apart, I thought I would take advantage of the time. Truck is factory indigo blue/champagne 2 tone. Going to go straight Indigo blue with black Cosmis -005 wheels.
What say you? Tell me in the poll above.
Also, here is a link to the build page

As a retired body/paint tech I'd advise against using the plastidip. I know it's a temporary coating but it's going to cause more work removing that mess where it gets into tight places... nooks and crannies. If you're doing the prep work yourself and don't mind carefully removing that stuff and not causing any unnecessary damage to an otherwise easy finish panel... then maybe if you're not making more works for the painter. After 42 years I've had my share of customer surprises. What paint system (brand) does your guy shoot?
Scanned through your build thread... very nice and love that color on these trucks.
Edit to add: if the old finish is being stripped completely disregard my suggestion.

If you have the chance to do it now, do it. If you don't... you will be mad at yourself later on because you didn't.
At least that is my personal experience with something like this. My truck is in getting insurance repair done from being rear ended, while its there I am having new fiberglass front fenders installed as well. Just my .02

Build is moving at a snail's pace but it's moving. Paint guy is having trouble getting his shop built as lumber prices have skyrocketed and concrete guys are so busy they can't see straight. So I'm waiting on a converter and going to go ahead and get the engine and **** in so I'm not just twiddling my thumbs.
