Default help! screwed up paint on bowtie

Today I decided to paint my bowtie as many others have done. I first sanded it down, put 3 coats of primer, sanded it again, put 4 coats of black, and then 2 coats of clear. Well when I went to put the 3rd coat of clear I grabbed the wrong can and put a light mist of primer on it before I said a few choice words. What do I do now, do I sand the tainted clear coat down and put more coats of black and clear again?

Get some 1000 grit and wet sand it and do another layer or two of clear. You have two layers of clear under the "mist" so wet sanding should not take more than one layer.
No big deal if it is really fucked up, just sand it sown some and build it up again. I have painted mind like three times from highway rocks.

Thanks everyone, I hit it with some 1000 grit and the mist dissappeared and actually smoothed it out a bit. I will hit it with 2 more coats of clear and should be ok

I had a similar problem. I finished painting mine and clearing it and then discovered that the white was way off... I knocked it back down and started over again.

You're going to have to post a pic or two you know...
