Honestly, I have never liked tags in the tailgate. But that center exhaust setup is totally bitchin. I'd find another place for the tag, but thats just me. And get some taillights like SmokinRice.

Just an honest opinion.

***Update***

Well, I'm going against the popular opinion and decided to go back to the rear bumper. There are just too many reasons to not stick with the current setup from a cost and labor standpoint. Basically, that rear needs some major work. You can't tell in the pics but up close it looks like **** and basically ruins the whole truck for me. I'm embarrased to drive it sometimes because the rear looks so crappy. So anyway, I'm going back to the stock configuration but with all of the black plastic pieces painted to match. I've already prepped the plastic parts on the rear bumper for paint and yesterday I picked up a new tailgate which I started to prep last night. Here's a pic of the new gate. Nothing special, just a tailgate. I bought it from a nearby salvage yard for $175 and aside from the minor paint scratches there is one "ding" on the backside which can be fixed. More than likely the tailgate cap holes will be filled and smoothed.

The tag centered in the tailgate throws off the look of the back of the truck for some reason. I really like a clean, smooth tailgate with no tag in it at all.

I like the idea of the air-actuated tag!

As for the exhaust--I really like this rollpan from Regency conversions...looks really nice up close.

I stopped and looked at one of these trucks the other day. I asked the salesman if i could order one of these pans. He said i'm sure you can but i don't know how to go about that.

Anyone have a # for Regency and know where they are located? Is it possible to just get the pan from them?
