Default Need to lower my ***......

I have 2" belltech shackles and chassis tech hangars but the back end didnt come down all that much. I"m guessing its because there isnt much weight in the back.
I want to make the back come down 1 1/2 - 2" more to level out the back WITHOUT TAKING A LEAF OUT.

any suggestions?

My truck did the same thing. I bought shackles/hangers from a local truck parts place and the rear only dropped about 3.25" or so. They told me they pull the helper leaf out all the time and no problems unless you pull heavy trailers. I often haul 2 street bikes at the same time so I am leaving the rake in mine. Not as noticeable with 20"s and 275/45s. When I still had the 16's on and the 265/70s, it was pretty damn noticeable, especially considering the front came down 2.25-2.5".

nothing wrong with pulling the helper spring. i did it to my factory leafs before putting on the hotchkis kit and it actually rode better. never heard of anything bad happening because of this and people do it all the time. oh, and its the only way to go lower with your setup.

only thing is you will be sitting very close to the frame. i would think it would bottom out alot. did the back not drop enough or did the front drop a little too much??

I modified my chassis tech hangers to gain another inch or so. If you can do some pretty simple cutting and drill some new holes ( think they were 1”) I can e-mail you some pics.

Pewter
Pull the helper - you wont notice it unless you haul
and considerable amount of weight or tow.
On both my 91 and 03 it smoothed out the ride in the back.

The helper is the very bottom one correct?
Only problem is with my '00 they took the helper out and not even a day later when I hit the throttle I was getting some massive axle wrap/wheel hop. So severe it ended up demolishing my factory rear end. I had a pile of metal shavings in my differential cover about 2" high. That's the only reason I'm scared to take that helper off.
