Default Need Help from Truck Guys!

I hope I not "trespassing" being in here but, I need some truck help. I just installed a GM9-AUX adapter to my Monsoon in my '00 SS so I could hook up my iPod and I've got a buddy who wants to do the same thing in his '00 Yukon XL. Can anyone give me a "step-by-step" of what he needs to do to pull out HU and plug in the adapter. It was sooo easy in the Camaro because the plastic bezel around the stereo just snaps into place. Yukon looks a little more involved.

Ahhhhhhh trespasser! Get out!!!

j/k...You make the red-headed step children section sound scary We don't bite.

The bezel in the trucks just snaps out too, the only difference is it runs the entier length of the dash, from the driver's side door to the far side of the h/u. Just start pulling carefully and all of the snaps will release. I have to put my gear selector in 1st and tilt the wheel all the way down to get mine out. After that, the deck has one tab on each side that is pushed down and it should slide straight out, just like the Camaro. That's how it works on the Chevy's, can't imagine it's any different on the GMC's....

Hope your adventure into truck land wasn't too frightening!

Not at all man tilt the steering wheel down all the way put the truck in 1st with the pb on. The bezel just pops off then there are either two screws that hold the hu in or it has two little plastic tabs that you push down and it slides out then plug in whatever you need to takes all of about 5 min.

Thanks, guys. BTW, my SS is about to be paid off and then I'll be shopping for an Avalanche. So, maybe the next time I'm here I'll be official.
