Default Little hole in corners and taillights

I noticed on my clear corners and on my tail lights that right around each bulb somewhere is a small hole that goes from the back into the housing. Are those to put in small LEDs or what?

Could those holes possibly be vents?

I thought they might be vents but then they started fogging up some after I run the pressure washer over them so in my own mind I eliminated that one. Now I just try not to spray them. They my be vents and just not work right. Yeah my driver side fogs up more than my passenger too....

I noticed those holes on my clear corners when I instaled then last week. They were on the stockers, too. But on both sets they were covered up with round stickers...did GM forget to take them off the factory ones? Anyways, I took the sticker off one clear corner and left it on the other to see if it made a difference in fogging up. Didn't seem to make that much of a difference. Someone told me to put a little Vaseline around the rubber lamp gaskets to help seal out water...I'll have to try that when it warms up.
