A 3/5 will look good, but it will bottom out a lot if you do not C-notch it.

it will still bottom out the shocks will not stop that. i would not go any thing over 4" in the back with out a c-notch. i have 4" out back and have bottomed out but not lately cause i drive it like it is lowered now. also i remember someone cracking there frame from not c-notching and bottoming a lot.

I'm probably going to C notch mine eventually even with only a 4" drop. It bottoms out some times.......and when the time comes to transport one of my bikes its going to get nasty. I have some cheap drop leafs in the rear tho......will probably upgrade to Hothkis eventually.

I have heard the Hotchkis with the Edelbrock IAS shocks makes a pretty good combo. That is what I will put on my truck eventually.

A C-notch is a must if you get that drop, driving would be so much better. The answers to your questions (I think) is here. I'd go with airbags. You can cruise slammed but when you go into a parking lot or something push a button and no worries . Plus, I think, airbags are sick. I wish someone made a an airbag suspention kit for my lifted truck.
