Just buy a HID kit off Ebay.

 

Sorry to jack your thread but with those HIDs does the kit really matter or is it more the bulb and housing you put them in?

 

HIDs are the bulbs/ballast that you change. If you use HID bulbs in factory non-projector housings, you run the risk of a beam that spreads a lot. In my housing, the beam is more concentrated and you will get less flashes and hastle from the cops

 

yeah, i think im just gonna go with the crystal clears, im re-doing the whole truck.. its yellow right now.. soon to be black pearl met, but its a custom mix, painting it myself, got paid 3700$$ to go deer hunting in my truck lol, so im re-doing the front and repainting the whole truck, which i was goin to do anyways.. ill post some before and after pics when its done, goin to have a paintable tahoe grille, billet inserts, SS cover, clear corners and signals, Cal-Vu mirrors, roll pan, hopefully im goin to lower and new wheels soon, anyone know any SS 20's for sale?? chrome or the silver ones, doesnt matter.. thanks everyone for helpin

 

The "HID" bulbs they advertise are nothing but colored incandescent bulbs. They are no brighter than a stock bulb, they just give off colored light.
A true HID light does not have a filament. It has a xenon filled tube. The HID ballast sends high voltage through this gas to make it glow. Somewhat like a flourescent light. HID lights are many times brighter than incandescent lights.

 

That on my gmc. You can find the same lights on ebay for your chevy.

 

Anyone know where to get some headlights cheap?? ive been looking on ebay and all the people selling them have like a 97% feed back, and im not goin to trust it, if you know of a cheap place pm me it would help me out alot, i should get the truck back on next tuesday
