Default Guage install help

I jsut got my autometer tranny temp gauge today. and i was wondering where is a good place to install the sending unit. it is an electric one. the direction say to drill a hole in the tranny cover. but i thought maybe someone would know where there is already and existing hole. let me know thanks.

NONONONo, dont drill a hole

Phew!!!!! glad we caught you before you did that..
there is a plug right above the shift linkage on the drivers side of the trans..
unscrew it from them trans and screw you new unit in where it was..
it's a perfect fit..
make sure to use some teflon on the threads, just incase it may leak.

i drilled mine into the pan whe i was doing my shift kit.... theres a pic of it on my cardomain page... doesnt leak , no problems.. works fine... def use teflon either way

I also used this plug. Clean installation and it works great.
