i have an 03 sierra, that took a front end hit awhile back and i lost my vertical grille, so it has the stocker in it now, and the chrome shell has like abrasion damage on it, so i want to paint the chrome piece black, what do i need to do so it will stick and what paint could i use and it be ok?

 

the best thing to do would be get a paintable work truck shell and paint it. i painted the chrome grill on my old truck and all i did was scuff it really good with a scuff pad and painted it. it lasted a year or so but with the rock chips and car washes it peeled off.
