Question Dressing up the Tonneu Cover?

Well, I have the Tonneu cover off for a while and was looking at maybe painting the unfinished underside and support rails. To keep the cost down, I was considering rolling on some of that bedliner (to match my spray in liner) on the underside of it. Maybe even sand the fiberglass smooth. Then paint the aluminum mounting rails and such red or black? What do you all think, too tacky?

smoothing it and painting it the same color as your truck would be cool but depending on what you use the truck for you might get scratches from any kind of hauling stuff....i have mine carpeted black to match the bedliner. it looks pretty good. i wouldnt spray it with that spray bedliner stuff, that would be a little too tacky for my taste

Never thought about carpeting! Maybe some black velvet. Nah, maybe Home Depot will have some decent Indoor/Outdoor carpeting in black or grey? Thanks gents!

The carpet that is used on speaker boxes works nicely also. just get a can of spray adhesive and lay it on. Be careful when using the spray adhesive....it sets up fairly quick and difficult to move once laid on.

The tonneau I just picked up already has black carpeting on the underside, guy I bought it from said he paid extra for it. I think it's speaker box type carpet, looks nice!! Will try to post a pic later...

Looks good! Did you wax your bed? It's shiny! Maybe it's the flash. Looks like it's in a showroom.

Thanks, I like it. Especially for what I paid for the thing! The truck is only 3 weeks old, so, it better still be shiny....
