my friend has a 2002 chevrolet z71 1500 . he wants to do a 6 inch suspension lift . what kit or what things does he need to buy,how much ? and how hard is it to do?How long does it usauly take ? what would a shop charge ?thanks

 

I am doing one for a buddy on a 04 6 inch superlift and the kit plus front driveshaft, full rear springs, braided brakelines and stearing stablizers was $1800

 

lots of good lift info at the fullsizechevy.com forums but if it were me i'd consider RCD, rancho, and California Super Truck as far as brands for a 6" lift. Of course I haven't owned a lifted truck in a few years so I could be out of touch : )

 

It all depends what brands you buy and what tires you want. It can go from $3000 to $7000.
