I don't know about cutting the springs but I've noticed mine sits lower on the drivers side too. Maybe its from driving around w/no passengers too much, slowly compresses the spring, just a thought.

crank the torsion bar up on the side that is leaning--or just take it back to the dealer and tell them to fix it!!
But i have heard of this alot and most people just have the torsion bar turned up and realigned. if your truck is new enough then the dealer should do it under warranty. do a search on this and you should find a ton of info!

This is pretty common on 99+ GM trucks. Both of mine had this before doing suspension work.

The dealer ship told my brother that there was a recall on the spring if your truck is leaning.

All of the Chevy and GMC trucks lean from the factory and when you lower them it shows more. I measured mine before i slammed mine and the driver side was lower. I slammed it and then measured it again and it was still the same......lower on the driver side. It wont hurt anything. GM trucks are known for leaning. We just have to live with it. My friend cut his spirng to even it out and the truck rides like **** now. So i wouldnt cut the spring.
