Default Can you lower a 1500 HD

I'm pretty sure that there is some sort of like a 2/4 drop for them or something. I think I saw it on here once before but I'm too lazy to search right now. My dad told me if it was cheap enough that he would get it for his truck. I have been trying to get him to mod it constantly but he won't. I would put a bunch of money and time into it to make it like what I want but it's not my truck so it would be my money wasted. SO if there is such a kit to drop a 01 1500HD CC SB then please post a link that has a price so I can show it to him. He had to put nerf bars on it so my mom could get into it easier so I'm sure if I showed it to him and my mom i could work it out of them to buy it for "their" good.

If those are torsion bar front ends like im thinking, All you need is a set of 4" drop shackles for the rear and then turn down the torsion bars to level it with the rear, and you will have to cut the front bumpstops a little bit. Those shackles cost about $125 i think

Default lowered HD

You can lower an HD. The only two kits I know of right now are a 3" fron and 5" back and a 6" front 8" back Slam. The second kit really slams it. Both kits are made by www.djmsuspension.com. The 3x5 is about 650 bucks and the 6x8 is around bith with shocks. Belltech has a prototype kit they put together i a 5x6" that looks really good , but they have put off the release until mid year in order to get a kit together for the new 1500 1/2 crew that came out this year. If more people called them and asked about the kit for the HD they might consider putting it out earlier. I plan on lowerinf mine , but can't make up my mind what I want to go with.

he would probably go with the 3/5. If the 6/8 really slams it then I doubt he would like it. I'll talk to him tonight about it now that I know the price. If he does do it it would be one badass looking truck. Then all he needs is a good hood. Oh do you know if this lower setup is still good for the towing. Soon he plans to get a trailer for it to pull the Firebird when needed, so the towing capacity is pretty important. Thanks for the reply I'm gunna look further into it.
