Default Aux Back Up Lighting and Smoking Lenses

OK, so I have smoked my taillights long ago, and the reverse lights aint quite what I like, so I bought these to mount under the bumber and relay into the reverse lights

Well first of all I plan on painting the housing black, but is there anyway to smoke these lenses? I'm sure they are glass, will paint stick to glass? And what should I use the secondary bulb for, its not gonna give enough light off with a 194 bulb to help when the h3's are on. Should I maybe put a red LED in them and wire them into the tail lights or turn signal or something? I wanna do something with it, but not sure, up for any ideas.

If you want to smoke them on the cheap, try VHT nightshades paint. You can get it at some auto parts stores. Be sure you prep the lenses well, or the paint will look like it has cracks in it.

I have no idea about the 2nd question.

I did Nightshades on the Taillights, and it turned out good, and these are small, mistakes in them wont be very noticable.
