My new baby. Finally pulled the trigger on a new truck, ordered exactly what I wanted, although some options can't get on the reg cab. Anyway I do have some mods planned, so I'll be banging around these forums looking for info...

I have also posted on other forums. I see lots of Silverado RCSB pics online, not many of the GMC so hopefully it helps someone out. I know lots of guys didn't like these trucks at first, but man in person they are beautiful. Also awesome to drive.

It's growing on me...slowly. What options did you get? What engine....?

 

Sorry, 5.3 flexfuel AFM (uses 30% larger injectors and rails, everything else is software...STS suggested that for future power mods and tuning), 3.73 posi, 20" wheels/susp package, remote start, steering wheel controls, security, XM/cd/mp3 radio, tailgate package, pwr seat, rear window defrost/heated power mirrors, trailering package (tranny cooler and other HD stuff), side airbags and of course pwr locks, windows, etc.

Six speeds might be in them next year but I was out of time, also reg cabs tend to get ignored so they might be later than that.

Will be adding body color door handles, uplevel mirrors (or just integrated turn signal kit), probably a small drop, and later on forced induction of some sort (although he AFM thing might make that interesting-for now it sure makes for decent mileage).

When I first saw these trucks around and online, I was ho-hum on them too. But after driving this one for a week I am in love....friends all like it as well, so can't be too bad!!

 

I haven't driven one but I'm guessing it's like night and day compared to the old ones and I'd rather not drive one for fear of liking them too much. As far as the styling...I'm still alittle ho hum but it's growing...slowly. Nice job though and hope to see your mods come together! Nice options too, that XM antenna looks too skinny IMO.

 

Looks good, and you optioned it up nicely. It's not begging for a drop, it's crying out for it's life to be dropped 5/7.
