I just bought an SS cluster for my 03 Silverado.
It looks like the dash trim is one big piece that needs to be removed but it is not obvious how to remove it. How does it come off?
After I get that off I assume that it is just a couple of bolts and the cluster will come out. Is this correct?
Thanks.

The bezel is held in by clips. I usually grab the upper right corner of it by the stereo and pull straight back. You can work it off the rest of the way. You're going to need to put the truck is 1st so that the shifter arm is out of the way and tilting the wheel all the way down helps too. From there it's 4 screws that holds the cluster in place. Just unplug your stock one and plug in the new and reverse the disassembly order.

Thanks for the tip on how to get the trim off. That made it easy.
I am going to get my current mileage programmed into the new cluster before I install it. I am trying to find someone to do it now. I called one Chevy dealer so far and they want $150 to program in my mileage. That is outrageous! I paid $240 shipped for the cluster from a fellow forum member.
The speedo reads to 120 mph.

Sure you would have to program the cluster ??
The mileage should read right off the PCM.....
Anyone have experience with this
If you dont program it - starts at zero ??
I am also looking for an SS cluster...BTW

unless they changed it with the 03s, it will start at zero. the cluster counts mileage on its own. I doubt they changed it on the 03s. I guess you could install yours and see what happens when you turn it on to verify it. It only takes about 10 minutes to do your first time.

You definately have to program the cluster. I just took my 03 in to my dealer to have my mileage programmed into the new SS cluster. The dealer thought that he could do the programming in house. It turns out that he has to send the cluster out to get my mileage porgrammed in. They do start out at zero.
