I think this should maybe be in the Street Racing section, but I was entertained nonetheless. I'm not gonna call bullshit, there are some dumbass drivers out there. Screeching tires doesn't mean fast car or good driver. Where are you? I'm guessing Ontario. Good job having fun with the work truck.
This is something I do often, and sometimes lose. I've lost pretty hard to some chick in a Civic Si. A guy in a new Toyota camry v6 got me last week. But regardless if i win or not, I don't weep or get an ego boost, It's fun. I don't expect to be king of the road with a freakin pickup!! I've had some really nice cars before, I know what real muscle is like... I have a 5.3 in my truck, size of a SMALL chevy small block, even the 6.0 is considered small by Muscle car standard. These trucks have a good low end torque, great for towing, but not for high RPM acceleration.
I wanted to lean more towards the discussion of how people buy cars and expect to be the **** without the know-how to drive.

Hmm...yeah maybe I posted incorrectly, maybe my point didn't get accross either. And no, of course it's not B.S. Think about it, what's my point? I'm not some immature little retard thinking I have a mclaren F1 Beater in my hands. This is a worn out 5.3l sierra that has a 0-60MPH acceleration of 8.1 secs(or close to this) stock vs a TT with a 0-60MPH of 6.3. The whole point is... how funny it is that some people buy these expensive cars, show them off and yet gets their butt's handed to them by vehicles that have a -60mph under the average. It makes me laugh.

I met a guy just like you today when I was in the mustang. He was riding my *** hard, I was just cruising. He has plenty chances to pass but doesnt. I let it go on for about five minutes before I handed him his ***. I put the speedo on an even 150mph. He stayed off of me the rest of the way until he finally turned off. I see your point though about having a faster car and loosing to a truck, but sometimes modified vehicles are a little harder to drive on the street without blowing the tires off.
