Default Sad my first race was a NBS

Well i finally got my b-body 6-speed i been wanting. Well a couple days ago i'm goin to the bank to make a deposit for work, same time i do it every morning, and i see the same truck i see almost every morning, and it's the same truck i used to race in my green truck. Middle aged guy, we've talked quite a few times, he always asked what else i had done to my truck because it seemed like every week i was gettin something else. Well he's got a 02 rcsb 5.3l 2-wheel auto with just a single flowmaster. Well we're at the redlight about 400 ft before the bank that's on the left and i'm in the right lane. Well he don't recognize that it's me in the car, well the light turns green and i don't get on it, but a steady pace to try and get over in front of him, well the next thing i know i see the front end raise up and the exhaust gets a lil' loud so i nail it and it NO time i'm in front, grab 2nd and pull in front and on into the bank no problem. Well saturday morning we meet up again, but i'm in the left lane, at the same redlight, we both had our windows down so i yelled at him and the look on his face was priceless, he was like "THAT WAS YOU!!!" and i laughed and he said "That was the weirdest thing seeing a big family car just squat down and get sideways on shifts" and i said "Yeah, well we gonna have to go at it again after i sink about a grand in the engine" and he said "Anytime". I hated it was a NBS, i guess i'm gonna have to give him some pointers.

Must be fun to drive with the 6 speed and 4.56 gears.

Ok I thought that might be what it was. I don't think a whole lot of people know that one. Now you say F or C and that's a different story. It must have been difficult to put a standard in a body that has never come that way... sounds cool.
