I raced him about 3 or 4 times. A couple were a 30-35 punch and I jumped about a half car on him all the through 1st and some through 2nd and he started pulling on me quite a bit up top. I was really happy with that outcome. What really impressed me was from a dead stop. I stalled mine up on the stock stall and raced him to about 70 and he had 2 or 3 on me but im happy with how my truck is with the mods i have. I spun all the way through 1st but we were right beside each other all the way until I hit 2nd which fell off because it quit spinning like right when i hit 2nd and he pulled on me but all in all I was impressed with my truck! With a cam in it will will be all glory might just do the heads too!!

Many people will argue that "a win is a win", which I would agree with most of the time. In this situation, I'd say your truck "won"....especially considering the mods you have. It's pretty embarassing for a Camaro SS to win by only 2 car lengths when racing a truck. Post that video up! Was the Camaro stock or did it have mods?

Well I didn't have a camera imma have to do it again. Yes it is stock. And im a better driver than he is. If my buddy was drving it that was with me, it would been a diff story the owner ran a 9.50 in the 1/8th but my buddy that knows how to race and got it to an 8.80. Now my buddy was pretty impressed that was riding with me because of the wait difference and I don't have a lot of mods but on the interstate when we get on up there he walked me pretty good

 

Your truck is doing great, with a few more mods you should take him pretty easy, but those camaros can be nasty, especially with just a few mods. My coworker had a 2000~ camaro with just an intake, exhuast and gears and it took my 4.8 with a 100 shot pretty easy and with my 6.0 that had a few issues at the time, he would pull me hard off of the line by two, but by around 100 I could feel the truck slowly start to pull back with me about 2-3 back. I think now I could take him NA, but he no longer has that car, which he traded for a WS6.

 

Well my other friends it is a freak but it is a 6 speed. Which is a 2000 and it is HPTuned and Borla exhaust and quite few other things; bout to put a 224/228 cam in it and he hopes to be around 12.00 with that and headers. But I think a 220/220 might be coming very soon with a converter!! And maybe nitrous too!!
