You need to get someone to ride around with you all day and tape some of these races. Maybe it will make up for the action that I'm missing in my small town. The only truck competition I have is a Dakota R/T, 1st Gen Lightning, and a Ram with a.........HEMI.

Roll race from 60 in a heavy truck with 305 whp against a much lighter 255ish whp LT1 camaro....off the top of my head I would give it to the LT1. Of course anything can happen on the street. Maybe he couldnt shift or his car was running badly. Either way, nice kill.

thanks joewee350. that was an lt1, i've been around v-8's my whole life so i kno the difference in sounds, v6 sound=not so intimidating, v8= a little different. now the numbers to the crank on those lt1's was abt 255 to the crank, rwhp on those completely stock was only abt 225-230 not much and with just a muffler from wut i could tell maybe 235rwhp not much at all. now im not sayin the car sucks i wouldnt even think that but the ls1's put out 320 to the crank and i can hang with those, not top end but from 20 i can either stay even for a bit or fall to the back bumper. and hey it was an lt1 it probably had a lotta miles on it and he could've treated that car like crap. ill give it that but in the end it is what it is. im tryin to get the wire so i can download the videos on my computer.

My cousin had a 96 z28 with an LT1 and they were rated at 285hp at the crank. Anyway, I was just wondering to what speed you raced because they seem much better up top than a truck. Once again, nice kill.

i think it was to abt 80-85 since i've added the intake manifold, velocity stack and the throttle body my topend is a hell of a lot better...for a truck. i didnt think it was that much, i was readin in my gm high tech mag and thats what they said in there, my bad for the false advertisement. its like i said before when i column shift its not the same as just leavin it in overdive and if i shift at 4500 rpm from 1st to 2nd the power doesnt feel like it changes much, my third gear for some reason has gotten stronger too. i can ride my first gear out to abt 40-45 and my second will stay till abt 75 almost 80. oh yea and since i've added some stuff i havent gotten a dyno run so im runnin a little more than 305whp

1996 LT1s made 285hp at the crank. So that's about 230ish with an auto and 250ish with an M6.
