ok so im comin hom from work and i see this older viper r/t 10 i think. well he was at a light and kept on revin so my light turned first then i whipped a nasty u turn and got next to him, he rolled his window down and said, u really wanna go? i was like hell yea even tho i knew i would lose but its fun just messin around. well i told him to go from a roll at twenty and ill honk. we rolled to abt 20 and since i honked i ended up gettin the jump but he left me before he even shifted into 3rd, he left a cloud of smoke just from his exhaust and when his tires spun. he said his car ran mid 10's but all he had was headers back exhaust. i called bs. before my uncle passed away he had a 93 or 94 zr1 and with little mods before he swapped the engine he was runnin like low 11's and he became the first person with a vette that could beat those. so that was my fun story on how to waste gas and not give a dman abt it. haha

 

lol, ya probably not 10's but a quick car nonetheless. Those things cant hook for **** on street tires it seems

 

BS, I raced one at the track. He had a s/c and was spraying. He went 11.5 on that pass. He got by me at the end. Really cool guy. When I talked to him he said he laughed when I lined up with him. That changed when we took off he said he thought something was wrong with his car. He checked out the truck and shot the s**t for about 1/2 an hour. Best race I've ever had. He managed a high 10 later in the day.

 

Well, stock R/T 10s on stock tires have gone as quick as 11.6, throw stickies on, low 11s, add exhaust, probably still low 11s, so yeah, mid 10s is unlikely unless he has some more boltons or a small shot of spray.

My friend took my truck and raced a cocky dude in an old 92 RT/10 (400hp) and beat him. Guy was just so damn cocky and he was like 20 so I had to let him go do it since I was working. LOL

 

my buddy has a ls1 camaro with bolt ons and 125 kit and his dad has a 95 rt and the f-body will kill the rt on the bottle and hang with him on motor.

 

That's about right, those older rt's had around 400hp, which is right where you are in an LS1 after headers and boltons.

i mean yeah he obliterated me from a 30 punch but it was fun.

 

Some people have no clue what their car/truck can run. Plus anything can happen on the street. As long as you had fun, that's what matters.
