After breaking in the new gears and eaton I raced and beat 2 different silverado SS. 1st race was an SS with awd, programmer, intake and exhuast from 25 ish. We took off at the same time I took a 1 truck jump by 50, then by 80 the guy quit when he was a few lengths behind. We went from a stop and took off the same but by 80 the guy quit again. Then today a kid with a Newer looking SS and unknown mods wanted to race. It was on some lonely residential streets with stop signs every block. We raced till about 60 mph three times with him a truck and a half behind every time we slowed down to stop. I am pretty happy cause the awd SSS would always beat me from the start until now. Before anyone asks no Nitrous was used.

tarinitup...Nice, now you can really whup up on me. I did go to Lonestar Raceway at Sealy, TX, and ran a 9.0024 1/8th and 14.22 1/4. My new mods will have to wait till later in year, spent my money on house and christmas.
Have a nice Christmas and new year.

Man those are some awesome times for such few mods. How much faster was that track compared to ours? Are you keeping your truck all motor or going for a power adder?

tarinitup, the weather and altitude is what helped me the most. Lonestar is at 144ft, my Density Altitude Correction was -5ft! This was on Sunday. The previous friday nite, I had bad weather and did good to run 9.30/9.50s in 1/8th and 14.40s to 14.50s in 1/4. Had traction problems(water for burnouts), so gave up trying to get a good time and started racing the other people there. Plan to go back soon.
Still have'nt done anything to motor. I had planned on several mods by christmas, but spent money on house repair and a good christmas for my grandkids. I will be going for gears, detroit locker, and torque converter with the money I get back from income tax.
Your mods have really helped you. I will be at track (DT) Jan 6, if weather is nice. May try to go back to lonestar Dec 29th, depends on weather.
When are you going to track to see what your new mods do?
