and just for the record: to the OP - i'm fixing to put a Kenne Bell 2.6 & full exhaust on my LS1 vette, and at 7psi, i'm only expecting about the same power as what that mustang claims. if his motor can actually run full-out @ 8psi, he might - by some stretch - could be running that kind of power.

everybody has been telling me that, at least for LS1s (i don't know jack about 4.6s), 6-7psi is about the most you wanna run on a stock bottom end

 

The Mach will make a lot of power, but not at only 8 PSI. That might get you low 400's at the wheels which is what is considered the safe limit for the stock shortblocks. The Mach's are especially limited due to the 10:1 compression, can't go much more boost without going into the engine. The heads offer the airflow potential if the engine is built for it, but most guys aren't gonna go that far. I bet it's a high 11 sec car that he thinks is really fast.

 

They never made a 2001 Mach 1 .The new edge Mach 1 came out in 2003. 03-04 mach 1's are mid 12.5 - 13 second cars BONE STOCK! Just an FYI

so my friend's got a Maggie on his new Camaro & he's telling me today that some tool in his neighborhood just got hisself a mustang & kept doing WOT pulls in front of his house. well, the other day, Randy's driving out & this 'stang comes out of nowhere & starts following him - falling back then racing up to his bumper over & over...

well, they get up to the interstate on-ramp & he just lets go!! the poor Ford owner just became this little dot in the mirror. since then, he ain't done a daggum thing
