we were going down main. i pulled up next to him. took off kimda slow till about 35 and punched it pretty close but me ahead till about 80. then he pulled alottle. but here is the kicker he only has a catback 5.3 against my cammed truck i am very pissed but we did pass the police station doing 80 so that was fun.....ok scary

No I know him he only has 5.3 with catback maybe intake
I have a 4.8 216/220 lt ory outlaw intake and hp tune no stall
My friensd said that's why it was so close
But still I made me feel like all my hard work was for nothing

 

buy my 5.3 and suprise him next time

Well, at least your honest. Most people will not admit to losing a race. You sure thats all he had? It seems that with your mods, you should have taken him by at least a half truck.

I don't think that it is that out of the ordinary for a somewhat stock 5.3 to do that to a cammed 4.8...

 

I say up your shift points to 6500rpm and try again. Spin the **** out of that 4.8

Have you had it on a dyno to see where it stops making power? I bet the intake is holding you back.
